About Skin

Skin is the outer covering of the body responsible for protecting our internal tissue and organs in the form of a waterproof barrier. As the largest and fastest growing organ of the body, skin has many complex functions and some of its key roles are defence against external damage and loss of water, as well as regulating our body temperature. Additionally, with its complex sensory system, skin also allows us to communicate with the outside world through our sense of touch.
