Face Lifting and Regenerating Therapy
A thread facelift is a convenient, less invasive alternative to traditional facelifts developed to alleviate early signs of aging such as minor facial sagging. This new LIFTING method is based on the implanting of multiple mini-threads, creating a network that acts as a support for the tissue.
The procedure is suitable for both men and women and can be customized based upon individually desired results. It can also be easily adjusted or reversed if desired.
- Sagging cheeks
- Drooping soft tissues of the mid and lower face
- Sagging jowls and neck area
What are threads?
An absorbable, single strand sterile medical suture thread is used for lifting the sagging contours that unlike conventional sutures are smooth, and have tiny barbs made of clear polypropylene so they are not visible under fair or thin skin. (Polypropylene threads are used in heart surgery as they enhance cell cohesion).
What does a thread lift procedure involve?
During a thread facelift, threads are implanted in the skin using tiny needles adapted to each treatment area, creating an immediate lifting effect. The exact placement and number of the threads will vary from patient to patient.
Who is a good candidate for a thread lift?
The best candidates for a thread lift are men and women who are beginning to experience sagging in the cheeks, brow, jowls or neck area.
How long does the procedure take?
The actual length of time will depend upon the total number of threads used. On average, the procedure typically takes about one hour.
How long will the results last?
The duration varies from two to five years or more, depending upon the patient’s age at the time of the procedure, the degree of sagging and the number of threads used.
Can a thread lift be combined with other cosmetic procedures?
It is not uncommon to have a thread lift combined with Botox to reduce facial muscle activity, dermal fillers to enhance volume or peels and laser therapy to improve skin texture. Chin augmentation and liposuction of the neck are some of the other procedures that can be done in conjunction with a thread lift.
