There are no special preparations beforehand, but it's usually better to avoid aspirin and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication for a few days before the treatment in order to reduce the chance of bruising. Discomfort is minimal; a topical anesthetic may be applied prior to the procedure to make the process more comfortable. After the wrinkle relaxing injection, the filler is injected into the skin to instantly plump it up, make it firmer and smooth out lines and wrinkles.
